A gun store owner was surprised when someone in his shop pulled out a gun. Dixie’s Gun and Pawn in Mableton, Georgia, is owned by 64-year-old Jimmy Groover. The store’s cameras captured two criminals walking in to the shop wearing ski masks over their faces. Groover and two other customers were inside the store at the time. They yell out, “Get down on the floor, get down on the floor or I’ll kill you.”
On Christmas Eve, they aimed their guns at Groover, who didn’t think twice about pulling out his own gun and shooting. When he pulled out his own gun, they put their hands up in a “plea for mercy,” says news reports. Groover shot one dead while the would-be accomplice ran for his life.

I have two thoughts. One is, related to the criminals. How stupid can you be to try and rob a gun store? The other thought is, those customers probably thought they were in one of the safest places they could be to not be expected to have to face gun violence. It just goes to show that you can never let down your guard. Even when you’re in a gun store, surrounded by guns. Criminals are stupid. We gun owners got to be smart.
