Georgia’s university system now allows people to bring their concealed guns to sporting event tailgates. While the gun holders won’t be able to bring their guns into the actual sporting event, the new law brings Georgia’s university system in line with a new law allowing concealed handguns that is set to take effect this summer.
Georgia’s university system says their campuses won’t provide gun storage facilities or signs about the new law, which takes effect July 1. You still can’t take guns into student housing faculty offices, or classes with enrolled high school students.
Remember though, guns and drinking don’t mix! If you’re taking your gun to a tailgate event, be responsible.
