A fight over loud music could have turned deadly last month in Florida. A business owner asked a customer of a nearby auto store to turn his truck’s music down, and flashed his revolver in the process.

Now the man is working with an attorney to press charges. According to Florida law, anyone carrying a firearm in a careless or threatening manner, not necessarily in self-defense, could be charged with a misdemeanor.

The video below points out the danger of the situation, and the lack of knowledge of the law enforcement officers who  arrived on the scene. They saw no evidence of a crime, and now the man must take action on his own.

Carrying a handgun for self-defense means you’re held to a higher level of responsibility. There is no place for bad attitudes and intimidation. When gun owners use their personal protection weapon in a rude and threatening way, it gives everyone who carries a bad name.

Loud music can be annoying, and arguments can get heated, but your handgun should never be seen unless your life is in immediate danger.
