Legislators at the local and federal level have their sights set on increasing gun control legislation. They’ve forgotten that this is a democracy, and that our voices can’t be ignored.

1. Know what your representatives are voting on.
Keeping up with the current headlines is the best way to keep tabs on what your local government officials are up to. Follow local news reports so no vote gets past without your knowledge.

2. Reach out to your local representative, frequently.
Find out where your state’s Senators and local Representatives keep their offices and schedule a visit. If you’re not speaking your mind to them about your views, they won’t know how the people they represent really feel.

3. Organize and attend public meetings.
Sitting at home and complaining about things you think you can’t control gets us nowhere. The truth is, you need to speak up publicly in order to keep the rights and laws you deserve. If you’re not organizing and speaking up, your government representatives will assume you don’t care.

4. Wear your statement on your sleeve.
If you attend public lawmaker’s meetings, wear a t-shirt that let’s people know your stance on concealed carry. It makes a statement without you having to say a word. When you’re at the firing range or at legislative meetings, wear a concealed carry shirt and let it do the talking.

This is the time to stand up and let your voice be heard. Making a statement is is easier then you think.
