There’s a party in Australia called the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party and this party is pushing for gun permits for 10-year-olds.

A growing number of children in New South Wales has a minor’s permit to possess and use firearms. The permit applies only for use of a gun under the supervision of an adult firearms license holder.

A spokeswoman said 7258 minors permits had been issued as of July 29, 2017, and 3010 minors permits were issued in 2009-10, according to figures released by NSW Police. Twelve public high schools in NSW, as well as some independent schools, also offer shooting as a sport for students.

Currently, the limitation is a minimum of 12 years old. The Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party would like that law changed to 10 years. The government, though, has said that they have no intention of changing the law.
