A Pennsylvania woman was exercising her legal right to carry last Sunday and still raised alarm from the community and police. She arrived to her church service in Erie late and other churchgoers spotted a gun on her hip.
They contacted police and raised concern over a gun being carried in a church. As it ended up, she had a permit and was carrying well within the law.
She would have been breaking Pennsylvania law if she were carrying in a bank, federal building, or on school property. Private businesses must post any gun restrictions. She was allowed to protect herself in the church.
This video illustrates that the public is still very much on alert after recent violent incidents. Still though, many members of the public are totally unaware of laws regarding concealed carry and will react uncomfortably.
Anyone who carries concealed must remember to keep handguns concealed at absolutely all times. Taking steps to be sure that the gun is never revealed unless there is a critical violent crisis will help to cut down on situations like these.
